Blog Update: New Year, New Beginnings

Happy 2018! Well, we are a few days into the New Year. Mine certainly started out with a bang! A case of bronchitis. Thankfully, I was able to get myself going on meds right away and spent the whole week resting while it was sub-zero temperatures outside. Perfect excuse to stay in, I must say!

I thought I would round up my hits and misses of 2017, and some goals/life updates for 2018. Though I do not usually keep New Years Resolutions, this is more of a “life update” type post.

2017: The Good, the Bad and the Misery

2017 was on to a bumpy start in the world, and I’m not going to lie, it continued through the year. There were definitely some wins, though, for me at least. I got to grow my true friendships, make new awesome friends, continued moving in the right direction with Andy, and made some serious steps with my blog. I am so glad I had a refound joy for writing in 2017 and grew my “brand” a little, not huge, but significantly.

There were definitely some losses, though, a little personal for the blog. All I can say is that I am glad to see Andy’s career grow exponentially this year as well. And the heartbreak that ensued with old friendships, well, I hope to leave that where it belongs… In 2017. Time for new beginnings!

2018: My Year for Growing My Passions

I have a couple of passion projects coming through the pipeline. One is a writing project, I look forward to beginning in 2018. You will have to see at the end what exactly that is. I also plan on continuing my blog in 2018, with some new promotions.

Drum roll, please…

I am beginning a fashion brand called, “Vine & Page” in 2018! I decided to take this whole fashion blog to the next level. This year, you are going to see a lot of the behind the scenes of this project, and lots of fashions from my new brand. The website is slated to open for Spring 2018 and you can begin getting updates by following @VineandPage on Instagram and Facebook. My new brand will have fashion (and hopefully later on some home decor) that is contemporary and chic for the modern late 20 something and 30-40 something. I cannot wait to share the opening of my website with you!

Moving On Up!

Last, but certainly not least, Andy and I will be taking another step forward and have signed a lease to move in together in mid-February! We have been planning what furniture to buy and I have been creating Pinterest boards for every single room in the apartment for the last couple of months. We will be staying in the Chicagoland area for now. Maybe one day we will get our forever dream home in California. But for now, we are excited to begin our newest journey!
