It’s been a while. Sit back and relax as I answer some common questions about life and blogging. Also, just so you know. I’m going to get very real with you all. I cannot believe it but…
I’m ACTUALLY writing a blog post. I feel like the only time I come on here to post, I’m basically apologizing for not posting enough. That ends today. I’m not going to promise more blog posts because I honestly don’t know when I’ll have extra time to post. You see, after my last post, I have been working on my website, collecting items to be displayed, and all that fun content stuff. I decided now would be a great time to come clean to you as well…
Here are some common questions/answers. I’m not sure if anyone has really asked these, but I’m going to answer them anyway.
Q1: When do you find the time to blog?
Answer: Never. Well, lately. You see I spent the entire holidays sick, going from point A to point B, and then sick again. Things picked up at work, and I have been working on my side projects and planning my move. So, maybe in a few months, I can commit to blogging more, but for now, it is going to have to be when I get a moment like this. Sorry, SEO.
Q2: How much do you shop?
Answer: For clothes, I have barely bought any since the holidays. Honestly, starting out blogging and Instagramming, influencing, or whatever you want to call it is not as easy as most make it out to be. For one thing: I don’t get free clothes, and if I want to earn a living off of affiliate links I gotta hustle harder. My bad, but I don’t have a million hours to go shopping and link every single item I’m wearing. After the move, I’ll definitely be stocking up on Spring/Summer essentials. For now, my MasterCard is reserved for home items, which I will be happy to share when I’m all settled in. When you have a $hit ton of followers and brands are sending you $$ and clothes, then it gets a little easier. But, I’m still very small. So, until then, what you see is what you get. Where my brands out there???
Q3: What do you wear on a normal day?
Answer: Oh, this is a good one, because, I basically have the same uniform day in and day out in the wintertime. It’s bone-chilling cold here in Chicago right now. And TBH, I am not into the whole winter fad dieting that a lot of people are into. Sure, I still like to stay healthy. But, honestly, I stick to my black leggings, yoga pants, and hoodies throughout the week. Living my most comfortable life over here. Instagram and the blog are really a platform to share my creativity. I hate putting on makeup every day, and since I basically don’t have to because I work from home, I’m not going to. What you see on Instagram is really the creativity when it comes to me. Remember: Instagram or social media, in general, DOES NOT equal reality in most cases. Like many of you, I have my opinions, beliefs, and normal life to keep to myself and share other vulnerabilities as I seem fit. It’s easy to judge based on what you see all over the internet and social media, but remember, we all have feelings, and once again, SOCIAL MEDIA DOES NOT EQUAL REALITY. See ya IRL.
While we’re on that note…
Q4: What are your political, religious, etc beliefs?
I really don’t label myself. I have pretty sound judgment when it comes to this stuff. But, if you want to have that discussion, we can have it face to face. Where it belongs. Not on social media or on here. Let’s keep it fun on here, K?!
Q5: What is the name of your store again?
Answer: Vine & Page! I’m still so excited about this. You can sign up to find out when it opens at www.vineandpage.com. Some of the first people to sign up are going to get hooked up with some deals. So, don’t miss out on this. More to come…
Well, that’s it! Let me know in the comments if you have any more questions and I can create a blog post around those. Hopefully, I get more juice to post this month and moving forward. Glad I could get real with you all.
