Weekend roundup: My Favorite Girlfriend Chino Pants

September 25, 2017

Welp, we welcomed Autumn here in Chicago this weekend, even though it does not feel like it. I am sitting here wishing I could wear all the great fall outfits I have ready for you all! I wanted to highlight by far, my favorite pants that will carry me beyond fall. I got them at the Gap, and all I can think about now is how I want to order them in every single color. Nonetheless, here is my outfit and my weekend roundup:

Weekend Roundup: Here’s what I did

Friday was crazy hot (along with the rest of the weekend). It was about 87 degrees at night. I think this is the first fall I have ever experienced in Chicago, in all these years, that it is 93 degrees during the day and humid as hell. Usually, it is mild or a little cool. CRAZY! I took in a high school football game with family and friends. It just so happened that it was my “Auntie” Vicki’s high school playing as the guest at my old high school, AND it was my high school’s homecoming game. I still cheered on my home team as I sat in the guest bleachers, and received strange looks as we were crushing the guest team. It was all fun and games though. I have not been back in eight years, and so going back felt like being in the show, “Friday Night Lights”. So much fun!

Saturday, I pampered myself with a manicure and then headed for a ladies date night with my best friend. Andy was out of town for his brother’s bachelor party, so it was refreshing to have a girls night out. We always have the best time catching when we are together, so I enjoyed it very much. We dined at Cooper’s Hawk Winery. And, if you have one in your area, you must try! They have delicious food, service, and the most amazing Raspberry wine. I think it is the best wine I have ever tasted.

Sunday, I relaxed and watched the Bears win against the Steelers (yay)! It was so hot out once again, I just simply laid around in my P.J.’s and chilled, literally. Sometimes, we need days like that. I was bummed that I could not wear this fantastic outfit. These pants feel like joggers when you wear them – I hate jeans and I am so glad I opted for these in the green color. They go perfectly with a silk cami like this (similar one, here). I do not feel restricted, but instead, at ease. They can be dressed up and down, either with a flouncy top or with a tee for a more casual look. I am planning on getting the navy blue pair, but Gap also had a bunch of other colors, some on sale.  Best of all, I was able to go a size down on these. Glorious!

I will update you all once I go out and get the other pair. I could practically LIVE in them. And how cute does this bag look with my outfit?! Grab the camel color, available at ALDO now. I thought it was a great deal. Plus, you can even wear it cross-body.
